This is what Manasseh Azure Awuni said to Akufo Addo after boss of PPA was fired
Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has spoken after the sack of Adjenim Boateng Adjei, CEO of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA).
Mr. Purplish blue Awuni, in an analytical piece, named; "Agreements available to be purchased", uncovered how the PPA Boss was utilizing his situation to grant contracts for his own benefit, a circumstance which associated with irreconcilable situation.
After an underlying suspension for the issue to be examined by the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Mr. Adjei has at last been sacked by the President of the Republic.
In a letter from the Presidency which was dated October 30, 2020, the PPA Boss' arrangement was ended. The President affirmed that Mr. Adjei's 'own advantages clashed with the presentation of his capacities as CEO and Board Member of the PPA', while recognizing the CHRAJ for the careful examinations done into the issue.
Mr. Awuni shows up extremely satisfied with the President's turn. As per him, it means that Mr. Akufo-Addo treated the subject with the desperation and earnestness it required.
“It feels really good and it starts right from the president to CHRAJ. I commend the President highly for not sitting on this matter and not referring it to the suspicious sources that we know that when cases are referred to, we never get good results so I am happy that something concrete is being done about it,” he said
Manasseh, however, was sure to add the fact that he is expecting more.
“....As far as I'm concerned, the President has done his work and has done it well. ...We are getting some results, but we are still expecting more,” he added.
