First batch of 50 ZANGWOLEAP beneficiaries graduate
The Zango Women Livelihood and Empowerment Programme (ZANGWOLEAP) initiative which took 50 young women from various Zango communities through make-up artistry training a month ago has held its first graduation ceremony.
The event took place
at the Ghana Police Mosque in Cantonments on Tuesday November 24, 2020.
The graduation ceremony was dubbed “Empowering the Zango Women into building financial freedom through skills development and capacity building”
The participants were
trained in make-up artistry by six professional artists.
Each of the artists
took about eight to ten of the participants each to train.
After three weeks intensive training, the 50 girls were out-doored to begin their journey towards gaining financial freedom.
Special guest for the programme was media personality Stacy Amoateng, who emphasized on the need to be strongly empowered in the mind and heart, have passion for what one does and the belief in oneself.
She as well stressed on the need not to allow gender, religion or environments
determine who one is.
She advised participants to learn how to take
risk and be responsible, never to take relationships for granted, have the zeal
to learn new things and most importantly listen.
Participants were as well counseled to learn
the habit of saving and investing as well as offering and helping hands to
others.
Other speakers at the event were Hajia Zalia Qasim, Creative Director ZAQI, Ujana brand, Charity Anann Adupong, CEO Meannan Foods, Erasung Hadijah Ahmed Is-hak, founder of Myda Foods/MWELs and Habiba Sinare, Actress/CEO of Eranissbyhabiba, who took their turns to offer words of encouragement and motivation to the participants.

platform, opportunity and means to support people achieve greatness, just do
it. Everybody can achieve their desired life goal if they get the support. @zangwoleap
will continue to support zango women to work on their potential which will

The trainers included Bally Queen beauty studio, Fbloox
make-up artistry, Biya’s Glam, SheDeen, Glow ‘N’ Glitter and Beauty Spot Gh.
