Former president of Nigeria dies aged 82

 A former Nigerian president Mamadou Tandja has kicked the bucket aged 82, the public authority said Tuesday. 

Tandja won political decision twice after the nation's re-visitation of non military personnel rule in 1999. He was toppled ten years after the fact following an adjustment of the constitution to remain in force. 

Tandja's passing was declared in an assertion read on public TV, with a pronouncement of three days of public grieving. 

President Issoufou Mahamadou took to Twitter to communicate sympathies to his family. 

"To his grieving family, and to the Nigerien people, I extend my sincere and sincere condolences. That his soul rests in peace," he said.

As a resigned armed force colonel, Tandja vowed to reestablish security toward the West African country after he won races in November 1999. 

He was reappointed in 2004, a first in Niger and was forcefully scrutinized by rivals a year after over his treatment of a craving emergency, brought about by dry spell and grasshoppers plague.
