Netizens react to Asamoah Gyan’s mega move to Legon Cities
Ghana’s all time scorer Asamoah Gyan on transfer deadline day sealed a mega move to Legon Cities.
Gyan, who has been without a club since leaving Indian fold North East United in January 2020 signed a year-deal with the Accra based club.
The 34-year-old, who once confessed his desire to play for Kotoko before he hangs his boots was in discussion with the club over a possible move.
But the discussion wasn’t as smooth as people thought it’ll be, with reports stating the move stalled due to the financial demands involved.

Without hanging back, Legon Cities pounced on the opportunity to sign Gyan in a deal reported to be worth more than $1m, one which will be in cash and in packages.
Gyan makes a return to the domestic top-flight league after 17 years of being away. The former Sunderland striker previously played in the domestic top-flight league for Liberty Professionals in the 2003/04 season, scoring 10 goals in 16 games before leaving the side to join Italian fold Udinese.
The move has sent social media blazing, with numerous football followers, celebrities and organizations expressing their excitement and sending in congratulatory messages.
