18 Premier League clubs get covid-19 fund support from govt
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has been tasked by the president to give out 900,000 to 18 premier league football clubs to help counterbalance some of their cost in the covid-19 period.
Each of the 18 clubs will get an amount of 50,000 cedis from the 900,000 cedis allocated from the coronavirus funds.
The National Women's League, CAF Champion's League Representative and CAF Confederation Cup Representative and the Division One are yet to receive theirs.
According to a statement from the ministry “this has become necessary due to the directive of Government to all premier league matches to be played behind closed doors.
Other clubs such as Division one, National Women’s League, CAF Champion’s League Representative and CAF Confederation Cup Representative will also receive some financial support from Government.”.
