AshantiGold wipe the floor with King Faisal
AshantiGold defeated King Faisal 5-1 to record their second win of the season.
The Miners started the game on the front foot and opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Isaac Opoku Agyemang.
The early goal didn’t bog King Faisal down, they fought back and leveled matters in the 26th minute through Kwame Peprah.
AshantiGold went ahead again in the 29th minute through David Abagna. The goal was his second of the season.
Just before the break, King Faisal were presented with the opportunity to level the game from the spot, Kwame Peprah stepped up only to see his effort hit the post.
AshantiGold continued from where they left off in the second half, Isaac Opoku Agyemang scored his second of the day and his team’s 3rd.
Isaac Opoku Agyemang thought he had his hat trick in the 64th minute, he planted the ball home only to see the referee whistle for offside.
Yaw Annor after missing a good opportunity scored twice in the 83rd minute and in additional time to make it 5-1.
The game ended 5-1, AshantiGold record their 2nd win of the season, whiles King Faisal suffer their 3rd defeat of the season.
Isaac Opoku Agyemang was named NASCO man of the match.
