Fire consumes Kaneshie market
It has been confirmed that part of the Kaneshie Central Market in Accra is under fire.
The cause of the fire is unclear, but this happens a few days after the Kantamanto market in Accra's central business district is destroyed in odd conditions.
Some traders speculated that this might be a case of incense and called for comprehensive disaster inquiries.
Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) personnel were called on the scene and the situation is calm.
The Kaneshie fire follows similar incidents in the Odawna market in the eastern area of Nkrumah Circle, Koforidua, and Kantamanto.
