A revered prophet in Ghana, Prophet Joshua Adjei, the Founder and Leader of Bread of Live Ministry, warned the President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, not to be unworried about the threats of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of the opposition to contest the outcome of the just-ended election in court. He said that the government was making a concerted decision to force the NDC and John Mahama to go to court.
In a video streamed on Facebook, Prophet Joshua Adjei disclosed that "it would be in the interest of the government to stop the NDC from going to court, as the consequences could be troubling." He added that despite the victory declared by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the election, things are unsettled, stressing that he "sees trouble coming" if the NDC is not persuaded to rescind their petition.
The Prophet argued that any concern and desire of the parties to the case might not be resolved by the court. On the back of this, the NPP and its backers were advised by Prophet Joshua Adjei to refrain from provoking their opponent[NDC] by daring to go to court over the challenged electoral results.
"Do whatever possible to convince the NDC to rescind their decision to head for the court. Beware, there is trouble looming. It would be better if you find a better way to approach the NDC to backdown... your supporters shouldn't provoke the NDC to go to the court. I beg of you, do that because what I see in the spiritual realm is troubling. The court might not resolve everything," he said
The Prophet believes that time is running out for the NPP to overcome the stress "in the spiritual realm" that is growing.
"I advise the leadership of the NPP to be fast and approach the NDC, else the nation might not see peace. I am speaking as a prophet and a man of God."
He ended by asking the President to seek his spiritual fathers' guidance to validate his warnings about the petition or otherwise. He added that his prophecy that predicted the near rivalry between the President and former President John Mahama had manifested and that "because the tree [Mahama] that was cut had blossom." the future may be difficult for the NPP.
