Malik Baako disappointed in Minority leader's utterances

Minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu

Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, editor-in-chief of the newspaper New Crusading Guide, said he is shocked by some comments made by Haruna Iddrisu, a competent lawyer, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tamale South Constituency.

Speaking on Peace Fm morning show 'Kokrokoo' Kweku Baako said he has read some remarks Haruna Iddrisu made on the Techiman South parliamentary results.

"Quoting Haruna Iddrisu on the show, Kwaku Baako said, "Kwame he said, 'I was denied the results in this particular case, so what I'm going to court with. With tomatoes or oranges... I'm not expecting an attorney to talk about that.

Kwame, do you know that the NDC has filed in court a mandamus brief? On December 11th, they filed it and I thought it was a legitimate thing to do... and then again he said what they were going to court with. Tomatoes with? Ah, Kwame, I'm not expecting a lawyer to speak this way,' he said.

Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu, however, defines the declaration of the Electoral Commission's Techiman South seat as fake.

Haruna Iddrisu added that it is surprising that, when a similar thing was done in Banda in the same region, the media and civil society groups seem disinterested in their request for the public collation of the results in Techiman South.
