NDC parliamentary candidate for Sene West leads his opponent with 16 votes

With a difference of 16 votes, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is leading the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the contentious Sene West Parliamentary seat in the Bono East Region.

Kwame Ampofo Twumasi of the NDC currently had a total of 13,016 votes, compared to 13,100 votes for Joseph Markay Kuma of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The Returning Officer is yet to name the winner for the constituency.

The NDC won the polling station with 275 votes against the NPP's 148 votes in the controversial Battor 1 polling station where a ballot box was snatched and the matter ended in court.

The votes in the contested ballot box is being counted following a court order on Thursday afternoon [December 17, 2020].
