Writing an effective press release can be the key to building your brand’s reputation, earning media coverage, & growing your online presence. A few tips to make them effective:

DON'T JUST ADVERTISE, TELL A STORY. Anyone can send a release announcing something new. The trick is to tell a story about how your news can impact those listening.

A CATCHY HEADLINE. Instead of: "Company Announces New Product," write "X Product, the best X available, gets even better." U want the editor to ask "why is it better?" & keep reading.

WRITE AN EFFECTIVE SUMMARY PARAGRAPH. Just like an article, a press release should have a good summarizing graph. It normally follows the lead & will help quickly provide critical info to journalists skimming several other releases looking for news worth covering.

QUOTES HELP TELL THE STORY. Adding quotes from industry experts or community leaders can help bring the release to life & validate your announcement w personalities your audience might trust.
