“Your victory shall serve as a clarion call to all echelons of powers, low or high" - Selly Galley to John Dumelo

“Your victory shall serve as a clarion call to all echelons of powers, low or high" - Selly Galley to John Dumelo

Actress Selly Galley has pledged her support for her colleague cum politician, John Dumelo. According to her, although she is non-partisan, a victory for John Dumelo is a victory for the Creative Arts Industry.

It will also serve as a proof to the minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, that the Creative Arts Industry can also be part of parliament as there are "serious minds of great thoughts and doers of great deeds"

Posting a photo of the actor, she wrote:

“I am completely non partisan but John! I pray you win this seat and prove to the Minister of foreign affairs, Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and alike thinkers that indeed, creative arts is an industry pregnant with ‘serious’ minds of great thoughts and doers of great deeds…

“Your victory shall serve as a clarion call to all echelons of powers, low or/and high that indeed creative arts and its players have truly arrived and ready to step into the big shoes of power rather than been the perennial faces of endorsement…#Idey4u @johndumelo1 #WeAreSeriousMindedPeople #JohnDumelo4AyawasoWestWuogon Now this is the real elections!”

The Foreign Affairs minister passed comments that parliament is a serious business and not a place for actors. This has sparked a lot of controversies on the internet leading some of the Creative Arts players to condemn it.

Actors including Kalybos, David Osei, Bismark, The Joke and among others pledged support for the ruling NPP and it didn't go down well with a part of the industry players. As a result, veteran actress Kalsoume Sinare, Christiana Awuni and among others pledged their support for Dumelo as they also stormed Ayawaso West Wuogon to campaign on his behalf.
