Anger: MP-elect for Hohoe, Peter Amewu, threatens to kill NDC parliamentarians
In a rage of anger, the MP-elect for Hohoe threatened to kill NDC parliamentarians who were seen hooting at him as he approached their side of the aisle as Parliament turned chaotic on Thursday night.
“Tell them to come and demonstrate in Hohoe, they cannot dare, I will kill all of you,” the MP-elect said in rage.
The NDC is in court questioning Mr. Amewu's win in the parliamentary elections in Hohoe. As members of the Minority of the yet-to-be dissolved 7th Parliament stormed the chamber in their white robes attempting to occupy the majority of the House in favor of their claim of winning the majority, Parliament turned chaotic.
It comes after a Cape Coast court granted an injunction against the NDC MP-elect for Assin North.
“Mr Speaker I pray and look forward to a Ghana which does not have different set of rules for NDC, NPP but a rule of law in all its facets including equality of law.
“Different ruling in Tachiman South to have representation, different ruling in Assin North not to have representation that can only be a manifestation of some legal illiteracy,” the Minority leader said during a presentation in the last session of the 7th Parliament.
The Cape Coast High Court granted an injunction against the Member of Parliament for Assin North James Gyekye Quayson restraining him from holding himself as NDC MP-elect for the constituency over dual citizenship.
