'Enjoy life now': The 15 Bob Marley quotes I often think about
Bob Nesta Marley |
As someone with Jamaican heritage that grew up in New York, there wasn't a time when the faintest sounds of soul and reggae music didn't permeate the rooms in homes, streets, or parties, primarily that of the talented Jamaican artist Bob Marley.
Especially in the Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer era(they performed ska music together) to becoming one of the most highly revered and influential pioneers of reggae being placed on the map for the world to see.
While embracing his Rastafarian faith, encouragement and compassion for others, he humanized a country that wasn't regarded as much, and for that, I'll always be grateful.
In honor of his birthday, Saturday, February 6, and his air of optimism, here are 20 quotes and one-liners that have resonated with me through the course of my life journey.
