"Ignore fabricated Ramatu story" , vice prez. Dr. Bawumia denies having two wives

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, has responded to the numerous news reports about a woman claiming to be his second wife.

The vice president said it is a figment of people's imagination to tarnish his name, according to an official statement signed by his spokesman, Dr. Gideon Boafo, today, Friday, December 12, 2021.

The attention of the offce of the Vice-President has been drawn to stories and pictures circulating of a woman supposedly named “Ramatu”‘ who is being claimed as a wife of the Vice-President

“The office of the Vice-President wishes to inform the general public that the Vice-President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has never met or seen this purported Ramatu let alone take her as a wife. She is a figment of the imagination of people trying hard to tarnish the image of the Vice-President for their own purposes”,
