ZOBI Ghana appoints Mohammed Abdul Hamid Babangida as new C.E.O

On Saturday 27th February, 2021, the Zongo Business Incubator (ZOBI) inducted its newly appointed C.E.O., Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hamid in an all-white Executive Cocktail and Networking event. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hamid is a Project Manager and a Development Practitioner with over a decade experience in working in the youth development space in West Africa. He is an associate facilitator at the Cambridge Center for Excellence; which is one of the best Project Management institutions in West Africa.
According to the co-founder and former C.E.O.; Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hamid came into the organization 4 years ago as the Manager in charge of Quality Assurance. He later rose to Director of Project, Planning, and M&E. Through hard work and dedication, he has grown to become a very competent leader and a strong pillar of sustainability for the organization. “And to our new C.E.O., we say congratulations. You are indeed a good leader and an awesome boss. It is your skill and knowledge that has lead you to your goals. You are a perfect boss, leader and a mentor. You simply know when to lead our team and you never failed us by giving out your perfect performance as a boss. We are so proud of you. Congratulation on your success and another achievement”
The Vision of ZOBI is to lead in promoting entrepreneurship, incubating and nurturing of new business in the Zongo Communities Nationwide with the ultimate objectives of Poverty reduction, Economic empowerment, and Job creation. Even though the organization hasn’t been free from challenges and obstacles, it has become very successful, progressive, impactful and sustainable; one that calls for celebration.
According to the new C.E.O., ZOBI has impacted about 700 youth and beneficiaries through our numerous entrepreneurship accelerator and incubation programs. Within the first year of its formation, it was selected as a partner to the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP) under ministry of business development for the Presidential business support program. Under this program, the center has successful trained about 200 entrepreneurs and recommended some for funding ranging Ghc 10,000 to 100,000 Ghc Ghana Cedis. He further outlined various projects and programs for the future and called out to all partners and stakeholder in the youth development and women empowerment space to come on board and support the organization deliver on its mandate and achieve its strategic objectives for the future.
Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hamid is committed to creating an atmosphere of support for his team and assured the General public of better programs to come.
