Ghana Premier League week 27 best 11, player of the week, coach of the week and team of the week

 Another weekend of Premier League action brought us plethora of excitement and upsets.

Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko played out a 0-0 draw. Hearts of Oak defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0 to extend their lead at the top, Inter Allies Allies thrashed Medeama 3-0, whiles Legon Cities mined out a 1-0 victory against AshantiGold in Obuasi.

We take a look at MahamaShaibu.com’s best players in each position from the 9 games played in gameweek 27:

Goalkeeper: Razak Abalora – Asante Kotoko

Razak Abalora was excellent for Asante Kotoko against Aduana Stars. Abalora pulled great saves especially in the first half to help his side pick a point.

Right back: Amos Frimpong – Eleven Wonders

Amos Frimpong was sublime for Eleven Wonders at right back as they defeated King Faisal 1-0. The experienced right back was named man of the match.

Center back: Issaka Mohammed – Legon Cities

Issaka Mohammed was stupendous in the heart of defense and scored the only goal for Legon Cities as they defeated AshantiGold 1-0 in Obuasi.

Center back: Nurudeen Abdulai – Aduana Stars

Nurudeen was fantastic in defense for Aduana Stars as they held Asante Kotoko to a 0-0 draw. The robust center back came close to scoring in the first half.

Left back: Raddy Ovouka – Hearts of Oak

Ovouka was exceptional once again for Hearts of Oak as they defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0 to extend their lead at top. He was always a threat for the Chelsea defense anytime he bombed forward.

Defensive midfield: Razak Kasim – Great Olympics

Razak Kassim protected the Olympics defense perfectly as they picked a valuable point against Karela in Aiyinase. He made a decent run from the halfway line to set up his side’s goal.

Central midfield: Benjamin Afutu – Hearts of Oak

Afutu bossed the midfield and was the scorer of the first goal in Hearts of Oaks’ 2-0 victory against Berekum Chelsea. He was as well named man of the match.

Attacking midfield: Enoch Asubonteng – WAFA

Enoch Asubonteng was a menace to Ebusua Dwarfs’ defense in WAFA’s 2-1 victory, scoring one of his side’s two goals.

Forward: Kweku Karikari – Liberty Professionals

Kweku Karikari gave Dreams’ defense a lot of work to do especially in the second half. He was fouled for the penalty and provided the assist for the winning goal.

Forward: Agyenim Boateng – Dreams FC

Despite being on the losing end, Agyenim Boateng was solid upfront for Dreams against Liberty Professionals. He scored his side’s goal and was named man of the match.

Forward: Nafiu Sulemana – Inter Allies

Nafiu Sulemana inspired Inter Allies to a 3-0 victory against Medeama in Dawu. He scored 2 of the goals and was named man of the match.

Player of the week: Nafiu Sulemana – Inter Allies

With two goals and a man of the match award. Nafiu Sulemana is our player of the week.

Head coach of the week: Felix Aboagye – Inter Allies

Felix Aboagye after masterminding a 3-0 victory against one of the league’s favorite Medeama is our manager of the week.

Team of the week: Inter Allies

Inter Allies scored 3 goals in the second half to secure a 3-0 victory against Inter Allies. The feat makes them the team of the week.
