The Chair and Leader of the Convention People’s Party {CPP}, Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah has held photo exhibition and eulogy to celebrate Zambia’s first president, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda.

She stated that Dr. Kaunda is the last of a generation of African leaders who fought colonial rule, and became president after Zambia gained its independence in 1964.

The exhibition was held in Accra at W.E.B Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture.

Nana Frimpomaa said Kaunda is a pioneer of African Independence and should be celebrated. Adding that Dr. Kaunda was a strong supporter of efforts to end apartheid in South Africa. He was also a leading supporter of liberation movements in Mozambique and what is now Zimbabwe.

Speaking at the Exhibition, the chair and leader, Nana Frimpomaa Kumankumah said Dr. Kaunda was a giant among men and the last of the founding fathers who delivered independence to more than just his own land.

The Chair and Leader of the CPP further urged Ghanaians not to lose hope but to stand firm and hold onto CPP because the CPP is awakened to continue with the vision of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah for the betterment of the country.
