SIGA Boss Praises CBG and GBC for their Achievement

SIGA Boss Praises CBG and GBC for their Achievement

The director general of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), Stephen Asamoah Boateng has commended the CBG and GBC for working hard to transform the institution for success.

According to the Director General of SIGA, he is overwhelmed with the performance and success of the Consolidated Bank of Ghana over the past three (3) years after engaging with the Managing Director, Daniel Addo.

He is amazed at the mechanisms put in place by the managing director of CBG to monitor and supervise the accounts and transactions of all the customers of the seven emerged banks.

And also the extension of customer base and the number of SMEs who are currently benefiting from the accessible loans and grants from CBG.

Mr. Asamoah again commended the director general of GBC, Prof. Amin Alhassan for working hard to pay off some debt, enhancing the medium of transmission with good content, improving the human resources, creating new channels to be commercial and independent and others.

He urged government to amend some policies of GBC, and also regulate and restructure the TV license fees during a press briefing at SIGA headquarters.

He further established that the commitment of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to ensure the investments made by the State in State-owned Enterprises (SOEs), Joint Venture Companies (JVCs) and Other State Entities (OSEs) yield positive returns to the citizens is visible.

And that the Authority will keep on monitoring and evaluating the companies work to harness successful growth with better achievement to the betterment of the country.
