Poetry: Allegation
ALLEGATION
A painful cry
Tears woven in the passing harmattan wind
sprawled angrily at us
Left great valor by the roadside
trees sway left to right in your honor
Lungs contract and relax to draw out
a horrible scene of murder
Amongst the chirped dirges of midnight
Leaves shed tears in agony
of your Mighty departure.
Grass folded in sorrow of your demise,
For your innocent blood
Spilled as sacrifice in a lonely spot
that housed both courageous and cowards
Muslin by dark pages of time.
A soul worth million lives
taken wildly by a wild-beast
Under acres of disperse darkness
Where murder is no longer murder
But photos of a useful crime scene.
Your enemy thrives well in the blind side
of the world where there is no eye to see
A lonely journey you embark alone
In the escort of tree-trunks
Accompanied by breathless hellos
And Silent goodbyes.
