Poetry Day 319: Look For Options

Day 319.
So then we look for options.
Breaking the pact with God and making a deal with the devil.
Not because we want to, because we have to.
"You make it seem like you are without a choice.
Others are content with their beat-up Volkswagen. You don't see them trading lives for a Rolls Royce".
I know, but they don't have to deal with the pressure.
Opportunity knocks their door. My windows are sealed tight.
They have loved ones who pull them from the darkness into the light.
I have nobody. Everything is done by my might.
"You may have a point but are you willing to give up an innocent person's life for your satisfaction?
It starts with one person. Then two. A one time thing becomes habitual.
You may be dealing with temporal darkness but this misdeed may make it perpetual.
Do you want that?"
I am already in a place of torment.
I am constantly gnashing my teeth.
If there's a place worse than this in the afterlife, it would be a summer camp for me.
