GHANA WINS AFCON 2021!!

Ghana have emerged winners of the 2021 Amputee African Cup of Nations hosted in Tanzania.

Enroute to the final, the Black Challenges defeated Egypt πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬ 3-0, beat Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ 4-0 in the quarterfinal before beating Angola πŸ‡¦πŸ‡΄ 3-1 in the semi final.

Ghana overcame Liberia πŸ‡±πŸ‡· 3-2 in the final at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium on Saturday.

PS: As I was explaining on TV on Wednesday, rival factions of the Ghana Amputee Soccer Federation have been in court since 2016 so the players solicited for funds themselves and traveled to Tanzania πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ for the Amputee Afcon. There was no leader of delegation, no administrator.

The Ghana Amputee Team travelled without substitute players cos they couldn’t get flight tickets, according to the vice captain who couldn’t travel.

They ended up winning all 5 games. Beat Egypt, Nigeria, Angola, Kenya and Togo to lift the trophy πŸ†

Congratulations to them πŸ‘
