Owner of JFAMCO passes on
Mr. John Agyekum, a business magnate and the CEO of famed Ghanaian meat company Johnny's Food And Meat Complex (Jfamco), has died.
Although the cause of his death is unknown, a source said that he had been ill for a short time.
He was 65 years old at the time.
Mr. Agyekum developed the Jfamco abattoir and cold storage facilities in Medina, Accra, in 2011.
After working as a cleaner in Germany for years, he returned to Ghana as a German-trained butcher.
Many Ghanaian businesses looked up to him, and his company has delivered high-quality meat to people of Medina and Accra as a whole.
Friends and family members have reacted to the news of his death.
The Adom TV's Badwam host described the late John Agyekum as his brother, friend and boss.
