Pay attention to your obligations and consolidate Ghana's democracy - "CARE” Ghana tells NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) heads to the 10th National Congress on 17th December 2022, to elect its national party leaders.
“CARE” Ghana as a result has called for the attention of the members of the NDC to be obligatory towards consolidating the democracy of Ghana.
In a press statement available to ghlense.net, the executive director for Care For Free and Fair Elections Ghana, David Kumi Addo, said
“ One of the key pillars of any thriving democracy is strong and resilient political parties whether in government or in opposition. Indeed Political parties are instruments for social dialogue that foster consensus to advance a reliant democracy. Similarly, elections are pivotal and crucial to the building and organisation of political parties. A flawed internal elections thus have the potential of undermining the strength of the Party and by extension democracy at large.”
He also stressed that “CARE” Ghana hopes and expects the NDC completes the polls peacefully and successfully.

“CARE” GHANA WISHES THE NDC WELL AS IT GOES TO ELECT NATIONAL OFFICERS AND URGE THE PARTY TO ADHERE TO THE PRICIPLE OF FREE, FAIR, CREDIBLE AND TRASPARENT ELECTIONS.
Care for Free and Fair Elections Ghana (“CARE” GHANA) wishes the National Democratic Congress (NDC) well in its upcoming 10th National Congress and calls the party’s attention to its obligation to contribute to consolidating Ghana’s democracy.
One of the key pillars of any thriving democracy is strong and resilient political parties whether in government or in opposition. Indeed Political parties are instruments for social dialogue that foster consensus to advance a reliant democracy. Similarly, elections are pivotal and crucial to the building and organisation of political parties. A flawed internal elections thus have the potential of undermining the strength of the Party and by extension democracy at large.
As a voting rights organisation and democracy campaigners, we support the active participation of strong political parties in complementing efforts to consolidate Ghana’s democracy.
As the NDC goes to polls on Saturday 17th December 2022 to elect its national officers, Care Ghana wishes the Party well. It is our hope and expectation that the Party goes through the process peacefully and successfully and emerges stronger so as to enable it continue to contribute to the growth and consolidation of democracy in Ghana.
