Chelsea Football Club commenced the English Premier League 2023-2024 season's first game with Liverpool, a game which ended in a one-all draw, one notable part of the Chealsea team is their sponsorless shirt,  it is the first time Chealsea played a premier league game without a shirt sponsor for the past 36years.

Shirt sponsorship deals are a significant source of revenue for football clubs, In the 2019/20 season, the combined value of shirt sponsorship deals in the Premier League amounted to 349.1 million British pounds according to Statista.

1. Three:


The most recent sponsor of the Chelsea FC kit is British telecommunications firm Three, the deal with Three was said to be worth around £40 million per year and lasted for 2020 to 2023 serving two seasons.

                                                                                      

2. Yokohama: Rubber: 


Between 2015 to 2020 Japanese company Yokohama Rubber sponsored the Landon club’s shirt, the contract was reportedly worth £40 million per season. 

 

3. Samsung:


Samsung Mobile, a  South Korean company became Chelsea’s shirt sponsor in 2005, through a  deal worth £50 million lasting from  2005 to 2015.

 

4. Fly Emirates:


In 2001, Chelsea signed a four-year£24 million deal with Emirates Airlines for the period spanning between 2001 to 2005.

 

5. Autoglass:


In 1997, automobile windscreens manufacturer Autoglass was made the shirt sponsor of Chelsea FC until 2001.

 

6. Coors:


American brewery and beer company Coors became the “Blues” shirt sponsor from 1994 to 1997.

 

7. Amiga:


Chelsea’s shortest shirt sponsorship was with computer company Aming, the sponsorship lasted between 1993 to 1994.

 

8. Commodore:


Computer manufacturing company, Commodore was Chelsea’s second shirt sponsor in history, in 1987 Chelsea signed a record £1.25 million three years deal with the company that lasted from 1987 to 1993.

 

9. Gulf Air:


Gulf Air was the first sponsor of the English Club, Chelsea 36 years ago in 1993, the club signed a deal from  1983 to 1984.
