Lukaku to wear shirt number 90 at Roma
Belgium Star Romelu Lukaku will wear the number 90 jersey for Italian side AS Roma after signing a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The former Inter Milian Striker
reunites with Jose Mourinho after previous spells with the Portuguese coach at
Chelsea and Manchester United.
Lukaku, who spent two seasons at Inter Milan between
2019 and 2021 and returned on loan last season is in for another season in the Serie
A, now at the capital in Rome.
The 30-year-old has been handed the number 90 jersey during
his announcement as Roma’s new squad addition.
The forward last season adorned the same number 90 jersey for Inter Milan during his loan period, he had previously worn the number 9 jersey in his first two seasons with the Millan side and also at Chelsea and Manchester United.
Speaking to Roma media, Lukaku said "The welcome
I've received from this club and its fans has excited me and given me even more
motivation to give my all for my new team.
Lukaku lost the Champions League finals to Manchester
City as an Inter Milan player while Roma lost the Europa League Cup finals to Sevilla last season.
