Madina MP donates health items worth over 1million Cedis to all health facilities in Madina


The Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu (Esq) on Thursday, August 10 donated health equipments worth over One (1) million Ghana Cedis to all the health facilities in the LaNkwantanang Municipality through his “Health Project”.


The donation goes to fulfill the needs of all the health facilities in the constituency.


Some of the health equipments donated were; Hospital beds, wheelchairs, Hospital tables Commode chairs, Anesthetic devices, Surgical gloves and shoes, crutches, infusions and more.




The LaNkwantanang-Madina Health Director, Dr. Priscilla Anima Poku in receiving the equipments expressed gratitude to the MP and said this was the best donation the directorate had received this year. She said the lack of such equipments  had been a major cause of headache for both the directorate and the facilities.


She thanked the MP for his commitment and efforts to improving the lives of the people of Madina through the “Health Project” which is headed by Dr. Yennusom Maalug.


 “I have noticed your several free health screening outreaches since you assumed office and I can see how commitment you are to improving the living standards of the people of Madina” she noted.



Lawyer Francis Xavier-Sosu, on his part said the donation formed part of his vision to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 3) which entails good health and well-being for the people of Madina. 

He also reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the new ongoing recovery ward project at Madina Polytechnic, Madina Rawlings circle will be completed and commissioned by December 2023.



He  thanked the LaNkwantanang-Madina health directorate, the representatives of all the health facilities in Madina, the sponsor of the project ‘Life for All and Development’ as well as members of his Health Project for their commitment and service to the people of Madina.
