Relu Interactives wins 2023 presidential pitch
Relu Interactives a virtual reality startup focused on virtual reality training of local workers in the oil and gas industry in Ghana founded by Caleb Edem Mantey has emerged winner of the 4th edition of the presidential pitch.
The startup received an amount of one hundred and fifty
thousand Ghana cedis (GHc 150,000.00),
Bismark Etornam Mensah, of Fetuli Foods, placed second and he received GHc
130,000.00.
Jennifer Kwakwa Sarpong, of Bidigreen Ghana Limited, took the third
position and received a cheque of GHc 120,000.00.
Adriana Applagyei Nsiah Nimo, Reecoplast was fourth,
Ike Agyei Mensah of Deafcantalk was fifth and they both take home GHc
100,000.00. Daniel Amaza Philips, Scribble Works, Georgina Odom, Useful Waste
Limited, Kwabena Tuffour, Prosect Feed Limited, Aphraim Bukari Adombila,
Havilah Organics Africa, and Kwaku Ansu Aforo of Recco Solutions took the sixth
to the tenth positions. All of them receive GHc 70,000.00 each to support their
businesses.
The ten startups competed in the pitch which was held at
the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel today, Friday, 18 August 2023 under the theme “Building
a Sustainable Entrepreneurial Nation: The Role of our Future Unicorns,”.
President Nana Addo Dankwa in delivering his speech stated
that,
his administration recognizes that youth
entrepreneurship is the surest way to deal with the huge unemployment challenge
confronting the country.
“Government will continue to help faction a supportive
environment to enhance entrepreneurship and enterprise development. The award
packages for this year’s competition have been increased to reflect the upward
increment in the cost of goods and services.
“The other line winners will receive between GHc
70,000.00 and GHc 130,000.00 each and they just like the overall winner] will
also be attached to hubs in their respective regions for continues monitoring
and support” The President added.
