AERC Scholarship 2024/2025 application Eligibility Criteria
For eligibility in the AERC PhD Scholarships 2023, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Gain admission to any of the partner universities.
- Hold at least a Second Class Honors (Upper Division) or its equivalent in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Possess a Masters degree, inclusive of coursework and thesis, in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or related areas from a recognized institution. The coursework should encompass microeconomics, macroeconomics, quantitative techniques, and econometrics.
- Having at least one relevant article published in a peer-reviewed journal is a bonus.
- Demonstrated involvement in economic management, research, and/or training in the public sector is a plus.
- Women and candidates from post-conflict and fragile regions, particularly AERC PhD Bridge Programme graduates from 2017 and 2018, are strongly urged to apply.
