Arteta explains Ramsdale's drop after Piers Morgan's criticism

Aaron Ramsdale was benched in favor of David Raya by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta for the match against Everton on Sunday because Raya is more adept at claiming crosses.
According to former Arsenal player Adrian Clarke, Arteta would switch up his goalies throughout the course of the season.
Ramsdale had started the north Londoners' last 76 Premier League games, but his absence from the lineup at Goodison Park prompted questions.
Piers Morgan, an Arsenal supporter and presenter, accused Arteta on social media of degrading the England international, who hasn't broken any rules this year.
He posted: "I don’t understand what Ramsdale has done to deserve being dropped?
"Kai Havertz, yes.. but Ramsdale’s been consistently superb for us. Why humiliate him?"
After the 1-0 victory, Arteta claimed that he regretted not being able to change his goalie at will during his previous campaign.
And he now has two top-notch shot stoppers at his disposal after initially borrowing Raya from Brentford.
And Clarke, who graduated from Arsenal's academy and now works for their internal media team, has stated that Ramsdale wasn't the target of any ill will as a result of his omission.
He remarked, "I don't see it as anything sinister, honestly, I genuinely don't," during a talkSPORT Breakfast Show interview.
