Bruno Guimaraes continues as Newscastle's midfielder with a £100M release clause

Newcastle and Brazilian midfielder,Bruno Guimaraes, have reached an agreement on a new deal with a significant release clause, the Mail confirms.

The newspaper reports that Bruno Guimaraes and Newcastle have verbally agreed on a new long-term contract.

“Mail Sport can confirm that the deal, which is yet to be signed, includes a release clause in excess of £100 million. Newcastle will feel that protects them against an offer below their valuation of the midfielder.

“The Brazil international's current contract runs until the summer of 2026 but, after making a significant impact since joining from Lyon for £36m in January 2022, he wanted to be rewarded with improved terms. His new agreement includes a pay rise and expires in 2028.”
