The foundation welcomes applications from outstanding full-time second-year students enrolled in Nigeria's public higher education institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. The scholarship welcomes applications from 200-level students in public Universities and colleges of education across Nigeria. University applicants should have a minimum CGPA of 3.50.
For those from public Polytechnics, a minimum GPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from the OND program is required, and they should have already gained admission into the HND program.
Students entering directly into the third year must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from the OND program and should have secured admission to the 300 level/3rd year in a public University.

To submit an application for the MTN Foundation scholarship, applicant have to provide the following documents.
- Your Student ID
- National ID, Driver's license, International passport, or Voter’s card
- Admission Letter both from your institution and from the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB)
- HND Admission Letter (exclusive to students of polytechnic).

When you are done with the first stage, proceed to the second stage.

2. Once logged in, take note of the 12-digit PIN No, then click on the “Apply for Scholarship” button to start your application.
3. Input the 12-digit PIN No. and select ”Apply Now”.
4. Fill in the necessary details on the Application Form and hit the “Submit” button.
5. Make sure to print out a copy of the finalized form for future verification.
MTN Foundation Scholarship offers various categories:
- The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship, which has been active for 12 years, is available to qualified 300-level students in Nigeria. Every year, 300 deserving students receive an award of N200,000 each until graduation, provided they sustain the necessary grades. This scholarship specifically targets students enrolled in science and technology courses in Nigerian Public Higher Education Institutions (Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, and Universities).
