Saudi Arabian FA confirm when summer transfer window closes

With FIFA's transfer calendar stating the Saudi window closes towards the end of the month, there has been real confusion over just how long football's newest financial powerhouse has to continue luring talent over from Europe.
However, a joint statement from the Federation and from the Saudi Pro League has now confirmed the window will close this Thursday.
"As communicated to clubs in Saudi Arabia on Friday 30 June, the summer registration for player transfers for the Roshn Saudi League (Saudi Pro League) closes on Thursday 7 September," a statement read.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has spoken at length about his frustrations towards the late closure of the transfer window in Saudi Arabia, not least because of the ongoing threat of losing star forward Mohamed Salah.
Al Ittihad are prepared to break the global transfer record to sign Salah this month and have not been put off by Klopp's continued refusal to entertain offers for the 31-year-old.
Klopp has urged FIFA to synchronise the transfer windows, insisting Liverpool and other European clubs are now vulnerable to losing their top talents to Saudi Arabia without even being able to sign replacements.
