The couple the US needs; Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

On Sunday, Travis Kelce made his formal comeback, and all we can say is that he blended right back into Kansas City's offensive scheme.

As talented as Patrick Mahomes is as a quarterback—as the Lions loss in the season opener demonstrated—August has already passed, and Mahomes needs Kelce because without him, the castle would have fallen in an instant. A knife was brought to a gunfight by Kansas City. It's okay that the Lions won the championship. The Jaguars then arrived.

The best quarterback in football is Patrick Mahomes. Possibly the best athlete in the field. However, Mahomes requires a strong receiving partner. Not that Mahomes will enquire about it, "Lord, what will become of me, once I've lost my novelty?"

To put it another way, some of the best offenses in NFL history have a potent one-two punch. They never had a rift; instead, they were madly in love. No, never. the majority of the time. Among others, there were Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Jim Kelly, and Andre Reed. Mahomes had that to some extent while Tyreek Hill was on the club, but he has it with Kelce without a doubt.

Mahomes made it abundantly obvious that there was no emergency when Miami signed Hill. Mahomes still had Kelce even if Hill had left.

Why is Kelce so talented? Explosive in a nutshell. He can run like a receiver thanks to his speed and fluidity, and a linebacker cannot possibly cover him. Even when they try, Kelce is frequently too tall for faster corners at 6 feet 5 inches. He is a talented route runner, therefore combo and zone coverages frequently fail. He is the best receiver in the game at finding holes in defenses, and his friendship with Mahomes makes things much more difficult. Kelce is not Mr. Absolutely Perfect.

In fact, a recurrent refrain in defenses is "I'm sorry, but I'm too angry to see the facts."

Against Jacksonville, Kelce's impact was evident. Although Kelce didn't have a particularly good day, the defense's attention was diverted from him, which allowed other receivers to benefit.

Kelce isn't only one of the NFL's most formidable players. In all of sports, he is one of the most unstoppable players.
