University Of California 2023 African Legal Impact Scholarship for African Students

The University of California, Berkeley, extends the African Legal Impact Scholarship to inspire and facilitate the enrollment of students from Africa pursuing advanced legal education. 

Given the limited availability of funds, this scholarship is granted to only two exceptional applicants each year.

Benefits of University Of California African Legal Impact Scholarship:

- Full-Tuition Waiver: Recipients will receive a full-tuition waiver.

- Financial Responsibility: Scholarship recipients are only responsible for a $1,000 seat deposit, along with their travel and living expenses.

Requirements for University Of California African Legal Impact Scholarship Qualification:

Eligibility for the African Legal Impact LL.M Scholarship is based on the following criteria:

- Citizenship or primary residence in Africa

- Academic Merit

- Statement of Intention: A description of the recipient's post-LL.M. professional track accomplishments in Africa

Applicants must first gain admission to the LL.M. professional track program before applying for this scholarship. Scholarship application instructions will be provided to eligible admitted students.

Recipients are required to maintain a minimum grade standard of 'P' (pass) or higher in all classes during the first semester to retain scholarship eligibility for the second semester.

Application Deadlines for the University Of California 2023 African Legal Impact Scholarship:

- November 1, 2023, for option A (spring start)

- December 18, 2023, for option B (summer start)
