Take Your Next Step with DAAD: AgEcon Scholarships 2024-2025
The DAAD 2024-2025 AgEcon Scholarships at the University of Hohenheim offer fully-funded opportunities for students from developing countries.
These scholarships are part of the German Academic Exchange Service's (DAAD) special initiative called "Development-Related Postgraduate Courses" (EPOS).
EPOS scholarships, provided by DAAD, aim to support outstanding individuals from developing countries who possess a strong academic and professional background.
Successful scholarship recipients often have prior work experience in public authorities, state institutions, or private companies in their respective developing countries.
This experience typically involves the planning and execution of projects with a focus on development policies related to technology, economics, and social impact.
DAAD University of Hohenheim AgEcon Scholarship awardees enjoy a range of benefits, including the waiver of tuition fees for the two-year Agricultural Economics Master's program.
They also receive health insurance coverage, a monthly living stipend, travel allowances to and from Germany, as well as funding for research projects (additional details can be found on the EPOS webpage).
An integral component of the DAAD EPOS initiative is a comprehensive German language course that takes place from August to September at a language center in Germany, just before the commencement of the Master's program.
About the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD):
The DAAD is a privately funded national agency in Germany, representing 365 higher education institutions in the country.
While it does not provide study programs directly, the DAAD offers competitive, merit-based grants to support study and research endeavors in Germany.
These grants are applicable at any accredited German higher education institution.
Benefits of the DAAD Postgraduate Scholarship:
DAAD scholars receive a monthly stipend of EUR 750 throughout the two-year AgEcon Scholarships program.
Additionally, participants undertake a two-month intensive German language course before the program officially begins.
The language course is an integral part of the DAAD initiative and occurs in August and September at the Language Center of the University of Hohenheim.
