RMG Ghana Limited is on the hunt for a dedicated and dynamic individual to take on the role of Zonal Manager in the beautiful region of Afram Plains.

The Role in a Nutshell

As a Zonal Manager, your primary responsibility will be to actively drive the sales of agrochemicals, seeds, and fertilizers across your designated zone. 

RMG Ghana is a leading name in crop protection products, fertilizers, seeds, spraying machines, and various farming tools and accessories. 

You'll be at the forefront of delivering on sales targets, building lasting customer relationships, and making the best use of your territory.

What You'll Be Doing

- Sales and Distribution: You'll manage RMG's extensive product range, which includes crop protection products, fertilizers, seeds, and more. 

Your goal is to exceed sales targets by fostering strong customer relations in your designated territory.

- Expanding the Network: This role calls for a bit of detective work. You'll be out there prospecting for retailers, distributors, and other agribusiness stakeholders to boost the sales of RMG's products.

Finding new distributors, selling products to commercial farms and plantations, and ensuring existing distributors are well-supported are all part of the game.

- Market Research: Stay ahead of the competition by regularly conducting market research. You'll analyze how well RMG's products are performing compared to the competition and identify areas for improvement.

- Collaboration with the Cocoa Industry: RMG is also in the cocoa business, and you'll be engaging with License Buying Companies (LBC) and other cocoa industry stakeholders to drive sales in this sector.

- Innovations and Trials: RMG is committed to innovation. You'll be involved in conducting trials of new products on commercial farms and related customers.

What We Expect

- Meeting Objectives: Achieving your quarterly objectives is a must. You'll be setting and completing action plans, ensuring productivity, quality, and high customer service standards. You'll also monitor trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes.

- Budgeting: Financial objectives are key. You'll prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and take corrective actions when necessary.

- Sales Planning: Your role includes creating a sales plan and quota for your zone. These plans will support the national commercial objectives.

- Customer Relations: Maintaining and expanding the customer base is critical. You'll coach field sales representatives, maintain rapport with key customers, and identify new customer opportunities.

- Product Recommendations: Your insights will be invaluable in recommending new product lines, product packaging and service changes based on consumer needs, trends, and competition.

- Building a Prospect Pipeline: You'll maintain an active prospect pipeline and ensure it's continually replenishes 

Qualifications and Experience

- A bachelor's or diploma in Agriculture or Sales and Marketing

- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar field

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

- Hands-on experience with inventory systems, and familiarity with ERP computer systems, like SAP, is a huge plus

- A valid driver's license with a minimum of 5 years of safe driving experience
