Key Responsibilities of the Senior Security Supervisor - Investigation
In this role, you will work closely with the Site Security Manager to manage security-related investigations in Ghana. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the investigations aspect of outsourced security contracts and ensuring that security tasks meet investigative and analytical standards.
- Conducting investigations into theft, fraud, malicious damage, robbery, and other transgressions against Newmont Africa or its employees at the Ahafo North mining operations.
- Collaborating with law enforcement agencies and serving as a Newmont representative in court hearings.
- Ensuring the safety and compliance of all security operations.
- Providing comprehensive analytical and microbiological services to the Production and support teams.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A degree or professional diploma in a security or criminal-related course.
- A certificate in Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Security Management Profession (CSMP) is preferable.
- A professional course in security, such as ASIS or CSMP.
Moreover, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in government or private investigation institutions, with a background in public security services being a plus.
Strong administrative skills, budgeting and procurement knowledge, and experience in establishing and maintaining an intelligence network are essential.
You should also hold a minimum Ghana class C driver's license and have demonstrated experience with budgeting.
Working Conditions
This position is based at the Ahafo North site. However, you may be required to travel and assist other domestic and international sites.
The role entails sitting at a desk for extended periods, climbing stairs, walking, and standing. While the office environment has minimal noise, you may also work in field settings.
