About the Swedish Institute

The Swedish Institute (SI) introduces the Scholarship for Global Professionals (SISGP), an initiative that replaces the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS). 

This program is aligned with the Swedish government's vision of cultivating global leaders who can contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 

SISGP is fully funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden and administered by SI.

Benefits of Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals

As a recipient of the SISGP, you will enjoy a comprehensive scholarship package, which includes:

- Full coverage of tuition fees, directly paid to your Swedish university at the start of each semester.

- A monthly stipend of SEK 12,000 to support your living expenses during your studies.

- Health insurance against illness and accidents.

- A travel grant of SEK 15,000 (or SEK 10,000 for students from specific countries) to facilitate your journey to Sweden.

- Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP), a platform to grow professionally and build a network during your stay in Sweden.

- Upon completing your scholarship period, you become a member of the SI Alumni Network, offering further opportunities for networking and professional development.

Please note that the travel grant is a one-time payment for the entire study period and does not apply to students already residing in Sweden.

Requirements for Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals

To qualify for the SISGP, you must meet the following criteria:

- Demonstrate a minimum of 3,000 hours of full-time or part-time employment, voluntary work, paid/unpaid internships, or positions of trust.

- Be from an eligible country.

- Showcase academic qualifications and leadership experience.

- Be required to pay tuition fees to your chosen university, have successfully followed the university admission process, and received admission to an eligible master's program.

- Demonstrate leadership experience gained from employment, voluntary work, or internships following high school studies.
