Canon Collins Trust is pleased to announce the Canon Collins 2024 Leigh Day LLB scholarship at the University of Fort Hare and the University of the Western Cape, welcoming applications from current 2nd and 3rd-year students who will be entering their 3rd and 4th years in 2024 while pursuing an LLB degree.
This scholarship offers funding for a maximum of two years, with awards in 2024 amounting to R40,000 per academic year.
The disbursement will be made to your student account, initially allocated towards covering your fees, while any remaining funds can be utilized for accommodation, books, or other study-related expenses.

Benefits of Canon Collins Leigh Day LLB Scholarship 2024
Each academic year, recipients will be granted awards of R40,000.
The funding is available for a maximum of two years, accommodating both full-time and part-time study. Applications from individuals interested in pursuing distance learning programs will also be considered.
Furthermore, we organize an annual conference for current scholars and host several smaller events throughout the year.
Scholarship awardees are encouraged to actively participate in these activities, contributing to our network and becoming an integral part of it.
Canon Collins Leigh Day LLB Scholarship Requirements
1. Be a current 2nd or 3rd-year LLB student at the University of Fort Hare or the University of the Western Cape.
2. Hold nationality in, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
3. Possess a robust academic track record and active involvement in extracurricular activities.
