Benefits of York University Presidential Scholarship
For the York University Presidential Scholarship:
- Twenty (20) students are selected to receive a scholarship of $180,000.00 each, which amounts to $45,000 per year.
- The scholarship is renewable for an additional three years of full-time undergraduate study, provided that the student maintains good academic standing each year. This brings the total scholarship value to $180,000 over four years.
Requirements for York University Presidential Scholarship Qualification
To be eligible for the undergraduate York University Presidential Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be international students who require a Study Permit to study in Canada.
- Have applied for an undergraduate degree program at York University that commences in Fall 2024.
- Have applied directly to York University from high school within two years of graduation, with no previous university or college studies (except for the Tentanda Via Award, where this requirement does not apply).
- Possess an outstanding academic record with a minimum "A" average or its equivalent, where applicable.
- Demonstrate leadership through community service or excellence in areas such as the arts, sports, or other individual achievements, as applicable.
- Submit one letter of recommendation or any other required supporting documents as applicable.
- Ensure that all necessary documents are marked as "Received" in the York University application (MyFile) by February 1, 2024, at 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time.
- Complete and submit the online International Student Scholarship Application by February 1, 2024, at 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time.
