Most Akufo-Addo’s appointees are wicked and selfish – NPP National Women’s Organizer

In a candid interview on Peace FM, Kate Gyamfua, the National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), didn’t mince words as she criticized certain appointees within the NPP government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, labeling them as “wicked and selfish.”

Gyamfua argued that presidential appointments are not only meant to contribute to national development but also to support party members. However, she expressed her disappointment, claiming that some appointees are neglecting their responsibility to uplift fellow party members, thereby denying them the benefits they deserve.

During the interview on November 22, 2023, Gyamfua highlighted the unique challenges facing President Akufo-Addo’s administration, suggesting that his leadership was divinely timed to navigate global economic difficulties. She insinuated that other leaders, like former President Mahama, might not have handled the crisis as adeptly.

However, her focus shifted towards alleged misconduct within the party, accusing some appointees of concealing their positions from their hometown communities. Gyamfua asserted that their purported selfishness and wickedness were preventing them from engaging with their constituencies and hometowns.

“Some of them are appointees and CEOs, and it is surprising that their hometown people don’t even know that they hold such positions. The majority of them are wicked, but some are good; I don’t want to mention names,” she claimed.

Expressing her disappointment, Gyamfua emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable, especially considering the dedication of the women’s wing of the party. She declared their readiness to take action against those engaging in such practices.

“What the women’s wing of the NPP is going to do to such people, they should wait for myself and my deputies. We are going to check those who help and mark them down from today,” she asserted.

As this news unfolds, it raises questions about the internal dynamics within the NPP and the challenges faced by party members in their pursuit of development and welfare.
