   - Emigrants from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan applying as international students must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30th, 2020.

   - Additionally, applicants must have lived abroad for at least two years between April 30th, 2020, and April 30th, 2024 (with more than 9 months of residence abroad per year considered as one year).

4. Compliance with Ministry of Education Conditions:

   - Applicants must meet the conditions set by Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (PRC) (Annex I).

5. Educational Qualifications and Age Limit:

   - Applicants must hold a high school diploma (equivalent to a Chinese high school diploma) by July of 2024.

   - Applicants must be under the age of 30 by September 1st, 2024.

   - Applicants graduating before July 2024 should provide a Pre-graduation Certificate issued by their senior high school.

   - Original senior high school graduation certificate and transcripts are required upon registration if admitted.

4. Photocopies of Certificate of New HSK Level 5 and Transcripts

   - Original certificate and transcripts are required upon registration if admitted.

   - Alternatively, a proof of studying at a high school where the teaching language is Chinese.

5. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Annex III)

6. Recommendation Letter from Senior High School

   - Original copy in Chinese or English.

7. Guardian Statement (Annex IV)

   - Required for applicants under 18 by September 1st, 2024.

   - The guardian must stay in Hefei during the applicant's period of study at USTC and must have a stable source of living, regardless of their nationality.

8. For Emigrants from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Applying as International Students

   - Immigration certificate, proof of cancellation of the original Chinese citizenship, photocopy of passport pages with customs stamps (exit and entry) from April 30, 2020, to March 31, 2024, and proof of living abroad during the specified period.

9. Notarized Translations

   - Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

10. Application Materials Return Policy

    - It is important to note that application materials will not be returned regardless of the application result.
