2024 POLLS: Peace restores to Madina NDC
Peace and reconciliation are crucial in political organizations as they foster stability, social cohesion, and sustainable development.
After the 2022 Constituency elections and the 2023 Parliamentary primaries there were various disagreements and factions leading to some members of the party supporting one Prince Moses Zakaria who had openly declared to go independent.
The Regional Chairman, Hon. Ashie More, members of the Minority Caucus of NDC in Parliament, Former Ambassadors, Baba Sariki Reconciliation Team, Naaba Kuda and White Chapel Reconcilation Team and several individuals and key watchers of MADINA NDC have intervened in various ways to restore peace.
The processes to restoring peace got to its climax on Monday, 26th February, 2024 where a team led by the National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia together with Lawyer Amaliba who is the Director of Dispute Resolutions met with all stakeholders including feuding and disgruntled members. Some NDC members suspended for anti-party conduct including the former member of Parliament Hon. AMADU SOROGHO.
After a meeting which lasted for about 6 hours, all the differences were settled and peace restored to MADINA NDC.
The Hon. MP, in a speech implored all to work together for the common good of the NDC.
By resolving conflicts and promoting understanding, these efforts contribute to a conducive environment for effective campaign towards 2024 victory of the NDC both at Presidential and Parliamentary levels.
