Lawyer Sosu committed to fixing broken bridges in eight weeks with his salary

The Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Lawyer Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu has committed to fix all the broken community connecting bridges within the Madina Municipality in eight (8) weeks with his two (2) months of his salary.

Some the broken community connecting bridges includes, Social  Welfare North behind action school, Okataban PNT, Nkwantanang East-Baba Yara among other affected communities in the Madina Municipality.

Residents of Social Welfare North behind the action school and Okataban PNT, complained that the situation is very unfortunate especially when it rains. They added that the aged, pregnant woman and children in the community hardly ply the bridge.

The Baba Yara Community School according to residents has churned out lots of prominent Ghanaians who hold respectable positions but currently wears an outlook which is unbefitting.

The metal plates on it have all rusted and replaced with pieces of rotten wood. This renders it a disaster prone spot for school children.

when Lawyer visited the place, he was saddened to see that in his constituency and instantly donated his 2 two (2) months salary to fix the broken bridges.

MP who called on contractors to access and estimate reconstruction of the various footbridge.

Lawyer Sosu also expressed concern about the state of the school buildings, the primary in particular and the compound which easily gets flooded promising to help do landscaping and repaint the school to give it a facelift.

He also pledged to help activate a toilet facility which has been completed but not in use, compelling pupils to attend to nature’s call in the bush.

Furthermore the Madina MP, Hon. Lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu has appealed to the Ministry of works and housing to step up supervisions on the construction of drainage and bridges in the Madina Municipality.
