Charles Nii Armah Mensah, also known as Shatta Wale, a dancehall performer, has stated that he is willing to do time in prison for his botched gun attack spoof.

Shatta Wale said this just minutes before being arrested and taken to prison to serve his remand.

While being brought from the courthouse, the controversial Dancehall singer was overheard declaring, “I’m ready to go to jail for this.”

Meanwhile, he has pleaded not guilty to the accusation of spreading false information and inciting panic.

His accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator, have been charged with abetment of crime and will be held in police custody for the next week.

They did, however, plead not guilty to the accusation.

The four individuals are scheduled to return to court on October 26, 2021.
