Wolf in a sheep’s skin. A spiritual caution to our brethren on various campuses

Aqafaare writes; Part three:

Teaching assistants are not left out in this discussion including student leaders trying to change the status quo, student activists from all political affiliations or persuasions, and other religious bodies and the likes. Body no be firewood ooo, I know and understand that it’s not easy sometimes. I remember during our days on the University of Ghana campus, an Imam realized this problem and he shared a nice and detailed book to us. The titIe of the book was “When Desire Takes Over” by Abdus Subhan Dalvi. It has a total page of 128. I will recommend that book for all level 100s or any continuing student as a spiritual UGRC course (9 credit hour). This will go a long way to help your moral and religious consciousness on campus.

The attack is hard but certainly you can walk your way out. The peer pressure alone is defining. How many guys lose themselves before their graduation, just because of this immediate pleasure. How many ladies have been ruined in this just because of this same immediate pleasure. We are all responsible for the young ones entering this filthy society people call academic society. Instead of the university grooming graduates of high moral ethos with good ethical standards. We are rather grooming graduates of low moral standards and filthy code of ethics. This is very sad, that’s why we aren’t getting the fruits of our knowledge.

A lot of people are into this education but at the end the value of the content is what they have not the spirit of the content. As it is said by Martin Luther King: “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education” and also it is so sad that our focus on the purpose of education has drifted and no one pays attention to our moral ethical standards. We are losing ourself through this dangerous mood of education and we need a remodeling of the mind. Albert Einstein said: “I believe, indeed, that overemphasis on the purely intellectual attitude, often directed solely to the practical and factual argument in our education, has led directly to the impairment of ethical values.”

Let’s make sure we give our young ones key values in life than just feeding their minds with theories that lack practicalism. As C.S. Lewis said: “Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.” Thank you for your time and we will meet again in another insightful article. Have a wonderful day. Hope you enjoy your read. The end. @jamalaqafaare. 01/01/2022: Saturday. jamalaqafaare.com/qblog/
