OSP claims that it has kept Cecilia Dapaah’s bank account information confidential

The bank accounts of Cecilia Abena Dapaah, which are frozen as a result of a Special Prosecutor’s decision, have not been disclosed or made public, according to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

In a statement, the OSP asked the public to ignore media reports about alleged bank balances that the OSP had published.

Following recent allegations of corruption, the OSP has requested a court order to freeze the bank accounts of Cecilia Abena Dapaah, a former minister of sanitation and water resources.

Two housekeepers who worked for Cecilia Abena Dapaah and her husband, Mr. Daniel Osei Kuffour, are accused of stealing money and things worth millions of cedis from the couple’s home in Abelemkpe, Accra. They are being prosecuted at an Accra Circuit Court, Graphic online wrote.

The suspects, Patience Botwe, 18, and Sarah Agyei, 30, have been charged with five charges of theft and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Between July and October 2022, allegedly thefts took place.

The OSP advises the general public to reject media reports about alleged bank balances that the OSP is said to have divulged.
