IWD ‘22: FOSDA Ghana and CMYPD to celebrate women at Nima

The Foundation for Security Development Africa (FOSDA) in collaboration with Centre for Muslim Youth in Peace and Development (CMYPD) will on March 8, 2022, engage with 150 young women in Nima. The event is scheduled to take place at Frankies Hotel, Nima. 

The theme of the celebration dubbed “Breaking the bias: A conscious effort to create equal spaces for women towards a sustainable future” seeks to empower women from Nima and its environs in the areas of economic empowerment, peace and development. 

The event intends to also “create awareness on International Women’s Day (IWD) and to celebrate women who have championed sustainable initiatives and highlight the importance of challenging biases and misconceptions to create a more inclusive and gender-equal world. 

The event will provide resources and information in discussing economic empowerment, women as peacebuilders and gender & leadership in the form of talks.
